Ice Cream Error

Ice Cream Error

How is it possible to have an ice cream error? All ice cream is great. And, what about the old saying, “You scream, I scream. We all scream for ice cream”. OK, Farmhouse Magic Blog will tell you how an ice cream error is possible.

Error in the Coating of an Ice Cream Bar

We all love a particular ice cream bar in this house but as we opened some of the ice cream bars, we noted a defect in the manufacturing process. In fact, more than half of the ice cream bars in the package were only half covered with the yummy chocolate ice cream covering. That crunchy chocolate ice cream coating is something we look forward to. Otherwise, it is only vanilla ice cream on a stick.

So, we decided to give it a try to see if the ice cream tasted the same. We only took a tiny bite, but things tasted the OK. As things go, we decided to eat most of the bars with the odd half-finished chocolate coating.

Contacting the Ice Cream Company

At this point, however, I also decided to contact the ice cream company’s website to let them know, there is a flaw with their manufacturing process.

Generally, you hear pretty quickly from the company. I received an email back asking where I purchased the ice cream, the box’s UPC number and expiration date.

Since I want the company to correct this error, I emailed back all of the requested information.

Ending Notes

What I got in return is that the company is sending me a coupon good for a free box of their ice cream bars. I haven’t received this yet but will check the mail for it.

I think this is a good thing because the company is rechecking their manufacturing process to make sure other customers do not get the half-finished coated product.

That’s great because I love ice cream and I know other people do, too.

Besides, who doesn’t love a coupon for a free box ice cream bars?

Update: 11-5-2024 – As of today, I still have not received that promised coupon for that free box of ice cream bars. Hummm . . .

Update: 1-25-2024 – Wrote the company a second time that I never received my free coupon for another box of ice cream bars. Double Hummm. . .
